About the Badgerland Strider’s Race Book
The Badgerland Strider’s Race Book is published annually. It is released in February. The publication provides information about running events for the coming year. We don't plan to try the Fall Race Book again due to lack of response in 2010 so now will be your only chance.
The Spring book is compiled in January, printed and mailed in February. The Spring book covers Feb 2012 to Jan 2013. Updates made after the deadlines for the printed publications will be listed in the online calendar. All current members of the club and all others on our mailing list receive copies by mail. About 3,000 total copies are circulated.
The book is also distributed in many local running equipment stores for $3/copy. The book contains events throughout Wisconsin and neighboring states. Any event that contains a running component (run/walk, duathlon, triathlon, track and field) qualifies for listing in the Book.
NOTE: If your event was listed in the Spring 2011 book or the online calendar before Dec 2011, you should have received an email inviting you to update your info for the Spring 2012 book. The login name that you received for the Spring 2011 book will work with the password that you created to log on to the site.
Make sure you have the email address tstrider@wi.rr.com in your address book to be sure that our emails to you will not go to your spam folder.
Event Directors
To have your event listed in the Spring 2012 book or the online database, you must update your race online (online event form). Please contact us by email at tstrider@wi.rr.com to obtain a username and password for access to the website. If you do not have access to a computer or are not comfortable with this task we strongly encourage you assign a delegate who can do this for you.
As a last resort you can mail your race info to us for entry but we ask you to only do this as a last resort. We must have information for listing in the paper copy of the Spring Race Book by JAN 1st, 2012. Event updates after that date will be listed online but not in the race book.

Advertising in the Spring 2012 Race Book
The Badgerland Strider Race Book and bi-monthly newsletters reach more than 2000 running families around the Midwest. If you have something to tell or to sell to active people, our race book or our newsletter can help you spread your message. The Race Book is published in February and the STRIDER newsletter is published 6 times per year, January, March, May, July, September and November.
Advertising is based on our current print format which allows for a 9.5” wide x 12” long page.
- The deadline for ads and payments is also January 1st.

Our bylaws require that any ad in our publications be running related.

How do I get a Race Book?
There are four ways to get a copy of the 2012 Race Book.
1. All members of the Badgerland Striders automatically get a Race Book as well as our monthly newsletter.
You can join us by registering online or print the membership form.
2. Send us a check and we will send you the Book. $5 for a single issue.
3. Buy a book at your local running gear store, $3 per copy. If they don’t have them, tell them to get some from tstrider@wi.rr.com.
