Welcome to the 24th annual Glacial Trail run! This year’s race will be held on Sunday, October 10th. There are 50 kilometer and 50 mile distances, with both courses following the Ice Age trail in the Northern Kettle Moraine unit. Entry Form: 2010 Entry Form Course: The Glacial Trail Run takes place in the northern unit of the Wisconsin Kettle Moraine State Forest. The trails consist of rolling hills with some rocks and other normal trail obstacles. There are no sentries on the course and runners will need to cross several roads. Trail intersections will be marked with ground arrows. The course is out and back for both races. There will be a short section of road at the start to get to the trail. NOTE: It will be dark for the first few miles (about 40 minutes) of the 50 mile race, so those runners will need a flashlight/headlamp. There will be a drop box at the first AS to leave your light, or any other gear you might want to leave there. Aid Stations: Stocked with electrolyte replacement drink, water and various foods. See link for distances and cut-off times. One-drop bag location (50K mile 13.3 &17.7) (50 mile 13.3 & 36.7) Crewing: Aid stations only. No stashing fluids on the course. Pacing: Pacing (having a non-registered person run with you from AS to AS) is not allowed. Time Limit: 50K - 7:00 AM Start with a 10-hour cutoff. 50 mile - 6:00 am start (need light) with a 12-hour cutoff. Packet Pickup: Starts 5:00 AM at the start, the day of the race. Perks: Custom sweatshirt; Food and Beverage for all entrants after the race. Awards: Top ten males, top five females, masters & senior masters both races. Custom medal to all finishers. Limited Entry: 200 total entrants, for both races combined.
