Friday, May 7th: Friday Evening Lasagna Dinner, Expo and Packet Pick-up
Runners can pick up their packet on Friday night at Randy’s Restaurant in Whitewater Wisconsin from 4 - 8 p.m. On our Registration page, there is a link with directions. We have many exhibitors, including our sponsors, at the pre-race expo. You can pick up many last minute supplies and commemorative race items. Race items for sale include running apparel, shoes, hats, cups, posters, supplements, electrolyte/energy drinks, gels and packs. There is no registration at the pre-race expo.
Saturday, May 8th: Race Start, Cutoff and Closing Times
Start time: Saturday, May 8th 6:00 A.M. for the 50 mile and 8:00 A.M. for the 50k.
NOTE: NO race day registration. Packet pickup is available from 4:30 A.M up until the start of each race.
The Start will be on the Nordic Trail. You will be able to enter both parking lots at anytime. There will not be any road closures as in the past.
Cut-off times are given for each station. The 50 mile cutoff time of 2:00 p.m. at 33 miles is final. There is a 12 Hour time limit to complete the 50 Mile course and a 10 Hour time limit to complete the 50 Kilometer course. Both race courses will officially close at 6:00 p.m. - no exceptions. NO 50 MILE BUCKLES WILL BE GIVEN OUT AFTER 12:00:00 and NO 50 KILOMETER AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN OUT AFTER 10:00:00 - official time, as given by the finish line clock.
Post Race BBQ and Awards Ceremony
At the finish line, food and beverage will be served starting at around 1:00 p.m. The BBQ, beer and soda are free to all 50 mile, 50k runners and volunteers. Additional BBQ tickets can be purchased up until May 2nd. 50 mile awards will be presented at 6:00 p.m. for: Senior Masters, Masters and Overall winners. Ice Age 50 Mile Age groups are: 18-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
The 50K will present awards to the Overall Winner, top 3 Open, top 3 Masters runners and Top Senior Masters, 50K Relay awards will be based on combined age (awards will most likely be expanded this year for Montrail Ultra Cup winners) at 3:00p.m. Finishers of the 50 mile run (under 12 hours) will receive a newly designed Ice Age Buckle.
Finishers of the 50K run will receive a newly designed key chain. A large tent will be available in addition to new improvements at the finish line to make your post race celebration an enjoyable time. The BBQ will begin serving sometime around 1:00 PM until approximately 6:30 PM. We expect the Milwaukee Ale House to return this year also to serve up a variety of their fine ales.
