Goal
We will provide an atmosphere conducive to anyone wanting to learn how to begin a running program. Hopefully, you will learn enough and have enough fun that you will want to continue exercising long after this program is over. Here are some of the many questions we will attempt to answer:
  • Why begin a running program?
  • Can I run in my PF FlyersTM?
  • What are the benefits of running?
  • When is the best time to run?
  • Will I look stupid?
  • Why is it good to stretch?
  • I don‘t have to run every day, do I?
  • Why do I keep getting injured?
  • Where is the nearest bathroom?

Place
We meet in the 2nd floor meeting room at the Pettit National Ice Center, on 84th St., just off of Hwy 94.

Dates/Times
Tuesday Nights - March 29th to May 17th - 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Plus Sarah’s Stride Run on Saturday, May 21st at 5:00 p.m. and a celebratory picnic for you and your family on Sunday, June 26th.

Typical Night
We start off with a 30 minute talk, followed by a warm-up, a little stretching, 20 minutes of running/walking, more stretching, and finally, 45 minutes with me or a guest speaker talking on a topic of interest related to running.
